He didn't bite me
but I knew he didn't like me
on my first night on the Italian farm
Then I moved from the living room to the owners old room

where they made the olives in to oil
I had a big great bed
and a wooden wardrobe
and a great big bathroom too
I had a door on the floor
that was hanging on a pulley
that went down to the eating room
I had a little window looking out on a line of tall trees
The kinda scene that you'd see in an Italian dream
I heard a little paw scratch the door
and a cute little whimper
I let him in
He slept in my bed
and then we were friends

I woke up to feed the horses in the early morning
Peepo led me and I let him believe that I was following him
What are friends for?
I met a lot of people
Every night a different group
They were all celebrating right under my room

Then I fell off a horse and I hurt my back
and all the people there they all turned their backs
I couldn't work so I had to go

We made a really big mess
but it was only the second best
according to the realtor

but the realtor said if we cleaned real good
that there was a chance we could
So we cleaned all day

And I remember the time we built a tree house for a movie
the pulley broke on the zip line and I broke my wrist
the camera man moved the camera away
and we lost what would have been the best shot of the movie
And I remember when we said
that we were going to a party
and we left one of our friends
at our home all alone
and then pretended to break in
he was so scared that he hid in the closet
and when he realized it was us
we all laughed so hard at him
and we cleaned all day
